I'm curious what Ray's startup procedure consists of. I know for LS engines, Melling makes a Pre-Lube Tank that pumps oil through the engine without the engine moving at all, other than the pump itself.

That ring compressor is a game saver.

The old train set smell comes from the brushed motors creating ozone as they ran. It was and is especially familiar with post war o gauge locomotives like Lionel untill they eventually went to brushless motors in the 2000s. To me it's part of the smell of my childhood and Christmas with the trains running around the tree. A tradition I also did for my kids growing up.

For the internet ree you can't get enough of: I am absolutely flabbergasted you don't have one of the engine stands with the push button actuated gear driven rotation, suitable for twelve thousand pound engines. I'm looking forward to you putting the top end together.

2020 suburban the book it has says do not do engine flushes or warranty gets voided. I think the dexos is used to keep it cleaned that's why they say only use that oil

Another issue, alot of places wont accept after market warranty , too hard for them to get paid. so yeah your Nationwide extended warranty not worth squat if no one will accept it
